Sub-Floors No structure is sound unless it has a strong foundation. That’s why we build our sub-floors using only pressure treated lumber that is designed to withstand the elements of nature for decades. Our sub-floors start with 2-4×6 pressure treated runners (thus making it portable) laid out on 16″ centers. Then to ensure a strong foundation – we construct all of our sub-floors with 2×6 pressure treated floor joists attached to the runners.

Floor System Unlike some other sheds on the market – we go an extra step and use only 3/4″ tongue and groove plywood for our flooring. Tongue and groove means that a tongue from one sheet of plywood is inserted into a groove on the next sheet of plywood physically joining them together. Using this type of system adds a lot more strength to the floor system as a whole.

Framing For our framing we use standard 2×4’s for our wall systems laid out on 2′ centers. We have several different options when it comes to wall heights – based on the style of storage building you choose. Exterior We use 26 gauge steel on all our buildings that comes in a variety of different colors. Steel offers a number of benefits you can’t get out of wood.

Doors / Windows Our doors are manufactured from a laminate similar to mobile home doors that are designed to hold-up to the elements. They are light which means you don’t have to worry about them sagging over time, but they are also very durable holding up to the abuse that comes from normal wear and tear. The standard door is 4′ wide which will accommodate most mowers and small equipment. We also offer a 6′ double door which should accommodate all larger equipment. Also, if you would like more than 1 door on your shed – that’s not a problem. For a small fee we can add-on another door and install it to meet your specifications. The windows we use are typical 2′ x 3′ windows with metal frames. Depending on the size of your portable storage building 1-2 windows may be included in the price. We can always add additional windows for a small fee and insert them to your specifications. Options / Add-ons Think you might want an extra window? wider door? want a loft for additional room? want a higher peaked roof? need a ramp for your mower or ATV? want your shed finished out on the inside? No Problem! We have a number of options, upgrades, and add-ons available so you can customize your shed to meet your needs.
