When you buy a shed from Holcomb Portable Buildings you can rest easy knowing that your shed is built from the highest quality materials, and the structure is built with strength and durability in mind. We never cut any corners on materials or designs. This includes our sub-floor system.

So what’s actually under your shed anyway?

All of our sub-floors use pressure treated lumber which is the standard for any wood that will be exposed to outside elements such as rain, snow, or other types of moisture. This is very important because regular lumber, such as pine, will eventually rot (even if painted).

All of our sheds sit on 2 main runners (or, skids) that run the length of the shed – thus, making them “portable”. From there, we construct the foundation using 2×6 floor joists – which makes for a very strong foundation. All of the floor joists will also be ACQ lumber.

When we deliver your portable storage building, we will set it up by placing concrete blocks under each of the runners (skids), and then level it. The purpose of the blocks is to keep any moisture from the ground from coming in direct contact with your shed.
You should never have to worry about a Holcomb Portable Building floor rotting.

If you live in the MS Delta, North MS, or most parts of Central MS we can deliver your new portable storage building direct to you. Look around the site, come visit with us, or contact us for more information.
